An annual charity and toy drive to benefit the 29 Palms Marine Corps Reserves’ Toys for Tots program and and families in the Coachella valley. Cocoa and Candy Canes began in December 2010 by celebrity photographer Dimitri Halkids and is hosted annually at SOIN Studios in Palm Springs, California.

Our 3rd Annual “Cocoa and Candy Canes” Toy Drive starts December 1st and runs through 22nd, 2012. You are invited to stop by Monday through Sunday, 1-5 with a toy or monetary donation and receive a custom portrait by Dimitri Halkidis. Last year was a tremendous success with over 200 Toys being donated!

“I have to tell you that when I was looking at the pile of presents before they were brought to 29 Palms Marine Corps base. I can truly say that there was no prouder moment in my life” says Dimitri, host of last years events; “So here I am again, trying to selfishly relive that moment, but our goal this year is to donate over 300 Toys!”

As the deadline is quickly approaching, please consider buying a few gifts, for kids 1-17, board gamess, electronics, and clothing are great or for inspiration visit your favorite store’s toy section let the kid in you pick!

If you are unable to give at this time, we certainly understand- but if you wish to help out for free we would love for you to share our page on facebook and encourage others to take part! We encourage all of you to help out in your community to make a difference.

With your help, we can bring joy and the cheer of the Holiday season to children who otherwise would otherwise go without this holiday season.
